Installing for local use.

  1. Go to get.5etools.com
  2. Download a copy of the site's code.*
  3. Unzip to a directory
  4. Access the files from one of the supported browsers.
    • The 5eTools.html file in the root of the directory you unzip the site into.
    • From Firefox, access the fire directly.
    • From Chrome/derivatives, you'll need to use the --allow-file-access-from-files executable option to allow Chrome to run files locally.
    • Troubleshoot issues that may come up.
  5. Enjoy. (and considering supporting the community)


Installing on a web server

Access the site via FTP or other file management service. Upload the files preserving their folder/structure. Make sure if the website is not authentication controlled that the read file rights are in place for the files If the site is behind a firewall, you may need to ensure exclusions are made for its access.


Installing for offline use.
